Overview
- No corrosion, no cathodic protection- CO2, H2S, chlorides and produced water contact only polymer.

RTP (Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe) is a spoolable composite line pipe made of three bonded layers:a thermoplastic inner liner, continuous fiber reinforcement, and an HDPE outer jacket. It replaces carbon steel in oil & gas gathering, high-pressure water injection, gas transmission and mining slurry service. With no metal in the flow path it cannot corrode, and because it ships coiled it installs with roughly 90% fewer joints.

FAQ
Q: What is the maximum pressure and temperature your RTP can handle?
Standard HDPE and glass fiber construction: 10 MPa (1,450 PSI) at up to 60 degC. With PE-RT or PA liners and aramid fiber reinforcement: 32 MPa (4,641 PSI) and up to 95 degC, compliant with SY/T 6662.2 and API 15S. PVDF-lined pipe extends to 120 degC. Always specify pressure and temperature together - allowable pressure falls as service temperature rises.
Q: What is the service life?
50-year design life at rated working pressure and temperature, supported by long-term hydrostatic pressure (LTHP) testing per ISO 14692 and API 15S.
Q: Can RTP be used for gas transmission?
Yes. For natural gas or CO2 / H2S service we recommend a polyamide (PA11/PA12) or modified barrier liner, which sharply reduces methane permeation and prevents annulus pressure build-up and liner collapse.
Q: How does RTP compare with steel pipe on total cost?
Higher cost per metre, lower total cost. No cathodic protection, no internal lining, no chemical inhibitors, no pigging; roughly 90% fewer joints; installation up to 60% faster. Over a 50-year design life RTP is normally the cheaper option.
